CFA completed design and tender and assistance during construction and occupancy for the Site Grading, Site Servicing (water, sanitary and stormwater), parking lot, and preparation of a Stormwater Management Plan for the new Uxbridge Firehall.
- Included the design and construction of earth berms to block the view of the firehall from surrounding homes
- CFA was responsible for the grading control for the entire site to ensure the building would fit properly in the site
- The adjacent road was on a steep road grade which made the grading challenging. The original site had irregular grading with rolling terrain on a steep road grade, adjacent to the site. This posed difficult grade control issues.
- There were no services available on the adjacent main roadway. The servicing had to be brought in from other streets via walkways and parks in the surrounding subdivision
- Construction of concrete pavement at the apparatus bay exit and for the maneuvering area
- Driveway design to accommodate the heavy vehicles and maneuvering room
- Design Training pad/area which is fenced in for firefighting training and practice
